Types of Interface

• Black Slate - Current Redbasic layout. Minimalist and full customizable. Perfect for channels with content.
• Social Media - For people who signed up primarily for social media purposes.
• Forums - For community forums.
• Pinned - Shows pinned items, but in the menu in addition to the drop down.

Additional Pages

• Settings Overview - Has links and explainations for various settings. Helps you find obscure settings and preferences.
• Federation - Guides people on how to set up federation with ActivityPub, Diaspora, and Bluesky.
• Inbox - Email style list of posts, both for DMs and people you are following.

Menus

Black Slate

• The default Redbasic interface.
• No additional navigation.

Social Media

When looking at your own channel:

• Name of Channel with Avatar
• Posts
• Profile
• Photos
• Files
• Calendar
• Articles (if pinned by channel)
• Wiki (if pinned by channel)
• Apps
• Home (home page of hub, if defined, right-aligned)
• HQ (right aligned)
• Settings (gear icon, right-aligned)

When others look at your channel:

• Name of Channel with Avatar
• Posts
• Profile
• Photos (if pinned by channel)
• Files (if pinned by channel)
• Calendar (if pinned by channel)
• Articles (if pinned by channel)
• Wiki (if pinned by channel)
• Home (home page of hub, if defined, right-aligned)

When looking at pages that are not associated with a channel:

• Name of Site with Logo for Site (if available)
• Home
• Forums (there should be an option to turn this on or off by the admin)
• Directory
• Community Rules
• Privacy
• Join (Sales Page, if configured, right aligned)

Forums

When looking at forums:

• Name of Channel with Avatar
• Posts
• About
• Home (right aligned)
• Forums (right aligned)

When looking at pages that are not associated with a channel:

• Name of Site with Logo for Site (if available)
