Hubzilla: Bridges
Bridges
Hubzilla can connect to Bluesky using Bridgy Fed.
Instructions
To opt-in to the Bluesky bridge:
- Follow bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy on Hubzilla.
That's it. Your channel will now be available as @channel.example.com.ap.brid.gy (if your channel is channel@example.com on Hubzilla).
If you want to use your domain, follow these directions:
- Visit the link in the DM you received to view your Bridgy Fed profile. Bookmark it or save it for late.
- Click on the tag symbol next to your Bluesky username. This will copy your DID, which you will need for the next step.
- Create a TXT entry in your DNS with the following information. Each channel will need its own entry. This one is for channel@example.com.
- TXT
- _atproto.channel.example.com
- did=did:plc:[your value here]
- Test it at https://bsky-debug.app/handle
- Send a DM to @bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy with username channel.example.com
- (replacing channel.example.com with your username)
- View your Bridgy Fed profile again to make sure it has been updated.
After following these steps, your account will be available as @channel.example.com on Bluesky and channel@example.com on Hubzilla & ActivityPub, and @channel@example.com on Mastodon.
There are other ways to do it. See the documentation below for more details.
