Our obligatory first post on Code Journal / Dev.

What, at first, looks like a normal decentralized social media website, will soon be turned into a community and an app for developers and system administrators. In addition to being able to create posts and participate in forums, we will add a set of tools to the website, which can be accessed by anyone who has a Magic Signon (OpenWebAuth) compatible account.

This website will be a proof of concept, showcasing how OpenWebAuth can be used as a federated single signon for apps. OpenWebAuth is currently available on Hubzilla, but several other platforms are looking to implement it too. We hope a project like this will inspire more to adopt federated single signon.

It will also serve as a tool that I need personally. Something to help me manage the multiple projects that I am working on.

We're still working on it and more details will come later. But be sure to follow this channel if you want updates on what is to come.

In addition to the tools that come with Hubzilla, like the wiki, I plan on adding tools that help me manage multiple websites. I plan on structuring it as a database, where I can group my website projects by categories, purpose, features, etc. It would also provide space for notes and quick links for things I need for each project.

I will make it multi-user, so that if there are multiple people working on a project, they can all access the same notes and information. You won't need a local account though. Access can be given via OpenWebAuth. You can log in with your existing social identity.

Eventually it will integrate with some project management and planning tools I am working on. This will be part of a suite of tools, ranging from project management to business planning.
