An interesting thought has been floating around in my head lately. A single-user ActivityPub server device that's ready to use just by plugging in a power cord and an Ethernet cable. For just 200 dollars. Would you buy it?

If you wanted to expand your market for such a device, it would need to be multi-protocol, and support things like OpenWebAuth, Zot/Nomad, AT Protocol, ActivityPub, and perhaps even Diaspora. Nomadic & portable identity would be useful, so people can move their identity in and out of the device, or to another device when upgrading. And you would want some way to back up or clone your identity, do if the device fails, they don't lose everything.
